Carol Bieler

Dec 29, 1940 — Oct 23, 2026

Panama City, FL

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Carol E. (Wild) Bieler, age 85. Carol was surrounded by loved ones when she passed away peacefully in Panama City Beach, FL on Friday, October 23, 2026.

Carol was born on December 29,1940 in Philadelphia, PA. and graduated from Germantown High School in 1957. She treasured her family and the friendships she cultivated throughout her life. The relationships she kept with those closest to her were an important part of who she was.

She shared 50 years of marriage with her beloved husband, James M. Bieler, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her much-loved son, James M. Bieler, Jr; her precious grandchildren Jennifer Mendez and James M. Bieler, III; her dear parents, Margaret (McCammon) Wild and Edward Wild; and sisters, Margaret Thompson and Shirley DiToro.

She is survived by her caring daughter and sole surviving child, Kathleen Farrell (Vincent); her five cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Buzga (Benjamin), Stephen Jenkins, Jr. (Cortney), Patrisha Downing (Douglas), Rebecca Carr (David), and Alex Farrell (Cherry); and her six treasured great-grandchildren, Trinity, Gianna, Ethan, Savannah, Dillon, and Stephen III, all of whom brought her immense joy.

She is also survived by her youngest sister, Eileen (Wild) Burke, and her husband, Joe. Carol and Eileen shared an especially close bond throughout their lives, filled with friendship, laughter, and treasured memories.

Her family also includes her dear daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Faulkner, who was married to Carol’s late son, James, Jr., as well as her many nieces and nephews, who brought her much happiness throughout the years.

Among those who held a special place in her heart was her lifelong best friend, Tina Nucera. Their friendship began in childhood, carried them through the sock hops of the 1950s, and continued through the many decades that followed. It was a friendship filled with shared memories, laughter, and mischief.

Her home was always a welcoming place for the friends of her son and daughter. Many affectionately knew her as "Ma B." She genuinely enjoyed being their second mom, a role she embraced wholeheartedly and one that brought her much happiness over the years.

Carol leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a lasting place in the hearts of her family and friends. From the generations of family she cherished to the many who knew her as "Ma B.," she will be remembered for the warmth and welcome she extended to others.

In keeping with a long-held family wish, an Irish wake honoring the lives of Carol and her husband of 50 years, James, will be held in the Germantown area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been finalized.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
