Gilbert Doyle Rader, of Panama City Beach, passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on June 9, 1946, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Doyle was a vibrant presence whose life was characterized by his deep love for family, his passion for sports, and his unwavering faith.

Doyle was devoted to his beloved wife, Ronda Rader, sharing many cherished moments together. Their bond was a testament to the strength of their partnership and shared interests. Doyle took pride in his role as a father to his daughter, Shelly Todd, and her husband, Bryan. He nurtured and supported them with great love throughout their lives. Doyle is also survived by his brother, Mike Rader, and Mike's wife, Cathey, along with numerous nieces and nephews, whose lives he touched with his warmth and generosity.

Doyle is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Stella Rader, and his brother, Randy Rader. Their memories live on in the stories and experiences he shared with his family.

Doyle’s passion for life was evident in his many hobbies and interests. He found joy in playing golf, not only for the sport itself but also for the opportunity it provided to coach others he played with, fostering a sense of community among friends on the course. He had a keen eye for bargains and enjoyed refurbishing sports equipment he discovered in thrift stores, giving them new life for others to enjoy, a testament to his resourcefulness and creativity.

His faith was an essential part of his identity. This shared spiritual journey with Ronda was a cornerstone of their life together.

Doyle was also a true friend to all, known for his kind spirit and love for animals, especially his beloved cat, Bandit. His playful and caring nature will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

As we remember Gilbert Doyle Rader, let us celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and a zest for all that life had to offer. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and dedication that will not soon be forgotten.

An outdoor celebration of life will be held later this year in Tennessee, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember a life well lived.
