Harriett E Myers

Harriett E. Myers, born on July 12, 1939, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on July 4, 2025, in Lynn Haven, Florida. She lived a remarkable life that spanned nearly a century and included experiencing numerous historical events, which shaped not only her life but also the lives of those around her.

Harriett was a devoted mother to her children, Clifford Myers, Laura Walker, and Lisa Marko, who, along with her husband Geoff, will forever cherish the loving memories they shared. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Justin Myers, Stephen Walker and his wife Rachel, Leah Hoberney and her husband Justin, Shannon Marko, Aaron Marko, and Dylan Myers, as well as her great-grandchildren, Jade and Killian Walker.

In addition to her immediate family, Harriett is survived by her brother, Craig Evans, and sister, Laura Evans, both of whom shared in the joys and challenges of life with her.

A dedicated community member, Harriett actively participated in various organizations including the Girl Scouts, League of Women's Voters, National Organization for Women, and the Democratic Women’s Committee. Her unwavering commitment to politics reflected her love for her country and family, values that were consistently demonstrated through her actions.

A celebration of Harriett's life will be held July 28, 2025, from the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bay County in Panama City, Florida, beginning at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Girl Scouts, League of Women Voters, Democratic Women's Committee or to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bay County. The impact she made on those who knew her will not be forgotten, and her spirit will continue to inspire those left behind.
