Bonifay, FL

Mary L. Phillips, born on May 26, 1946, in Manhattan, New York, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in Bonifay, Florida. She will be remembered as a devoted family member who cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Family was very important to Mary, and she took immense joy in their lives. Her children, James Thomas of Virginia, Mary Harper of Panama City, Florida, Richard Phillips Jr. of Rockaway Park, New York, and Krista Phillips-McCullough of Bonifay, Florida, will carry on her legacy of love and family values. Mary was also a proud grandmother to Michael, William, Kyle, and Brandon Harper, along with Kiersten Irene Phillips, Katie McCullough, and Angela Phillips, each of whom knew the warmth and affection that only a grandmother could provide.

Mary's passions enriched her life in countless ways. A lover of travel, she experienced the world with open arms, creating cherished memories wherever she roamed. Her fondness for horses was a defining aspect of her character; she dedicated much of her life to these magnificent creatures. Whether riding in her earlier years or feeding them in later life, horses brought her joy and companionship that went beyond words, and her collection of horse-themed items reflected this deep appreciation.

She is preceded in death by her significant other, Frederick Winters, whose memory she held dear, and her parents, Arthur and Irene Bonevich, who laid the foundation for her strong family values.

Mary leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will be forever cherished by all who knew her. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have shared in her life.
